Collagen is what keeps the gazillion parts of our body together and functioning properly.
It’s in the joints, the blood vessels, the brain, inside the cells (in small amounts), in the cell walls, in the extracellular matrix, which keeps the cells together. It’s pretty much everywhere.
Stress forces the body to use up much more collagen than usual, in other words, your body is quite literally taking itself apart when you’re stressed out.
Just one of the many reasons why it is important to learn to eliminate and live without stress in your life.
Taking collagen can help, but you need vitamins A, D3 and K2 for collagen to be utilized by your body, so it can do its job, and you have to have A, D3, and K2 in their proper amount and ratio present to work optimally and be able to aid collagen in doing its job. Most people aren’t healthy enough for those vitamins to be present in the proper amount or ratio.
This is a hugely complex subject so I won’t get into it much more here.
